Guys…this book。 This。 Freaking。 Book。 First of all， this is a debut novel。 Debut novel。 I cannot even begin to wrap my head around how this is a debut novel and as good as it is。 Let’s get a few things out of the way。 The book？ 5 stars。 Hands down。 The spice？ 4 stars。 This one isn’t full of spicy scenes but Gunner’s filthy mouth bumps the spice rating up considerably。 And I’m here for it。 Ryan is a fantastic fmc。 She’s so badass that both men and woman simultaneously want her and want to be her。 Guys…this book。 This。 Freaking。 Book。 First of all， this is a debut novel。 Debut novel。 I cannot even begin to wrap my head around how this is a debut novel and as good as it is。 Let’s get a few things out of the way。 The book？ 5 stars。 Hands down。 The spice？ 4 stars。 This one isn’t full of spicy scenes but Gunner’s filthy mouth bumps the spice rating up considerably。 And I’m here for it。 Ryan is a fantastic fmc。 She’s so badass that both men and woman simultaneously want her and want to be her。 I was happy to see that she didn’t fall victim to the damsel in distress trope so many of our badass fmc’s get stuck with sometimes。 As in， She’s badass until she needs saving。 Not Ryan。 She solves her own problems and doesn’t need a man to rescue her; but she’ll take it if he comes along。 “Usually， when men gave me orders or spoke to me the way Gunner did， I stabbed them。” End scene。 Perfect Ryan summary。 Gunner is a perfect match for her and their relationship is what I imagine criminal dreams are made of。 “The moment she opened up that beautiful mouth of hers and told me to go f*** myself， I was hooked。” The plot was fast paced but comprehensive and well rounded。 There were a lot of side characters that added depth to the story without making it confusing or messy。 Overall， a fantastic debut novel from Marie Maravilla。 I can’t wait to see what she comes out with next in this series！ 。。。more
